Former world under 20 5,000m champion Edward Pingua Zakayo and Agnes Tirop Cross country junior champion Pamela Kosgei were the winners of the Cardiff Cross county, the World Athletics Cross Cpunty Torld Golf opening series in Cardiff City, England.
For former world 18 5,000m silver medalist won the men’s 10km title after beating Ugandan duo Joel Ayeko and Rogers Kibet who he crossed the finish line in 26:20.
Kosgei, the sister of world marathon record-holder Brigid Kosgei won the women title in
20:21 ahead of Amelia Quirk taking second place in 20:34. English cross-country champion Jess Gibbon was third (20:44) with Elle Twentyman in fourth (20:50).
