Zena Cheptoo benefits with 5,000m silver at world under 20

Zena Cheptoo won silver in 5,000m women following the disqualification of Ethiopian and Uganda at the World Under 20 Athletics Kasarani, Nairobi.

Ethiopia’s Milzan Alem and Uganda’s Prisca Chesang were disqualified enabling Cheptoo to take the silver after finishing in 3:17.12

Cheptoo timed 3:17.88 while Ethiopia’s Mizan Alem who clocked 3:13.12 won the race for gold. Carla Dominguez Spain closed the first three podium finishes in 16:45.44 won a rare bronze, courtesy of the two disqualifications
