At least 75 golfers are participating in the third leg of the Konza InvesTeeing Golf Series at Eldoret Club.
The golfers, playing a stableford, fourball format at the nine hole course, teed off at 0700 Hours (EAT) with the last draw teeing off at 1300 hours.
Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) aims at engaging both prospective local and foreign investors through the Series to accelerate the development of the smart city.
The inaugural event was held in Machakos Golf Club in September while the second event was held at par 72 Karen Country Club in November.
Speaking ahead of the event, KoTDA Chief Executive Officer Eng. John Tanui, said the Konza InvesTeeing Golf Series has helped create an engagement and interaction platform for the Authority, adding that the Series has continued to cement KoTDA’s efforts in the development of Konza Technopolis.
“Konza Technopolis wants to connect with more investors and through the Konza Investeeing Golf Series, we are looking forward to engaging more prospective investors in Eldoret.” said the KoTDA CEO.
“So far, we are glad that we have been in Machakos and Nairobi. We now want to move beyond these regions. We are looking forward to host more tournaments in other parts of the country as we seek to connect with more investors. We don’t want to leave anyone out of our engagement.” added Eng. Tanui.
While urging potential investors to seek investment opportunities at Konza Technopolis, Eng. Tanui said:
“What we are sharing are investment opportunities in Konza, whereby we have, among other opportunities, data centre offerings, real estate, agriculture, hospitality, health and education.”
The Konza InvesTeeing Golf Series is envisaged to attract, onboard and retain key investors, which is the first of the three pillars in the Authority’s second strategic plan.
