Ng’etich, Lokedi and Obiri to face off at New York Mini 10km

World 10km record holder Agnes Chebet Ngetich, former New York City marathon champion Sharon Lokedi and holder Hellen Obiri are expected to face off at the 2026 New York Mini 10km race come next month.

The June 8th race in the USA will meet top Kenyans battling for titles in the women’s race in the 52nd edition of the event at the Central Park.

 Both Lokedi and Obiri are set to renew their rivalry following their encounter at the New York City Half Marathon in March, where Obiri won in 67:21 with Lokedi crossing the finish line in 67:21.

Ng’etich, who holds the world 10K record will be making her debut at the race. She has the best time of 28:46 as the world record followed by Klara Lukan from Slovenia with 29:51 as Obiri enjoys 30:15.

Ethiopian Tsigie Gebreselama has 30:29 followed by Weini Kelati of USA in 30:49, then Lokedi’s 30:52.

Kenyan Viola Cheptoo has 30:55 as American Emma Grace Hurley has 31:00 followed by countrymate Jessica McClain in 31:13, Amanda Vestri 31:17 and Annie Frisbie at 31:37.
