Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Cougars stunned Mombasa RFC to claim the 2025/2026 KRU Championships title during the final match played at the RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
The students were 60-12 dominance against Mombasa based club with both teams with the winners already promoted to the Kenya Cup, the Kenya’s premier rugby 15s league.
Cougars had finished second in the second tier league with a defeat to Mwamba RFC in the final.
Mombasa RFC were overwhelmed by a ruthless Cougars’ win provides the perfect ending to an impressive campaign as they focus on Kenya Cup next season.
