Meddie Kagere scored a brace for Gor Mahia to send packing Tanzanian Singida United in the second semi final match of the second edition of Sportpesa Super Cup played under rain at Afraha stadium, Nakuru.
Without conceding any goal, Kagere netted two goals in the 2-0 win against the visiting Singida to book for Sunday’s final against Simba SC at the same venue.
Gor Mahia Coach Dylan Kerr will face off with his former club, Simba in the final match, with defending champions having one hurdle to defend the title.
Kagere scored on both halves to book for a final against Simba who beat Kenya’s Kakamega Homeboyz 5-4 on post match penalties following a barren draw.
Gor is the team with the highest score of five without conceding. First they beat Jeshi La Kujenga Uchumi (J.K.U) 3-0 in quarter final and today beating Singida 2-0.
The Burundian netted the first goal on 27th minute before adding the second in the 88th minute when he took on a shot from range that found the keeper Peter Manyika off his guard.
