Harambee Stars booked a slot into the Cecafa semifinal after winning their second match in pool D against Sudan on Tuesday 10th in Uganda.
Bandari’s Hassan Abdallah and Ulinzi Stars striker Oscar Wamalwa scored for Kenya as they came from a goal down to beat Sudan 1-2 to registered their second win.
The defending champions first defeated Tanzania on Sunday with a solitary goal before adding their second win today.
With assistant coach Zedekiah Otieno in charge of the team after head coach Francis Kimanzi was suspended on Sunday, Sudan’s Muhammad Namir scored in the 30th minute as Kenya trailed in the first half.
But substitute Abdallah leveled in the 65th minute before Wamalwa sealed the victory from Abdallah assist.
Abdallah has scored the second goal in the tournament.
