Double Commonwealth Games 3,000m steeplechase champion Abraham Kibiwot won a third bronze for Kenya at the ongoing Paris Olympic Games in 3,000m steeplechase.
In a show of might, Kibiwot, who also won bronze at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary last year, finished third behind Moroccan Soufiane El Bakkali who won the race in 8:06.05 as his season best followed by American Kennth Hooks (8:06.41) with his personal best.
The African Championships champion won the bronze medal in 8:06.47.
Other kenyans in the race were Simon Kiprop Koech who managed 7th position after timing 8:09.26 as his season best with former world under 20 3,000m steeplechase champion Amos Serem coming in position 14th as second last athlete at 8:19.74.
