AFC Leopards trounce KCB in friendly

Newly signed Michelle Katsavairo struck a brace as AFC Leopards won against newly promoted Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) in a friendly match played today at Kenya Technical Trainers College, Gigiri today.

The Zimbabwean striker’s brace was enough for Kenya Premier league (KPL) beat their entrants KCB in the pre-season friendly match.

Katsavairo moved to AFC from Tanzanian side Singida United after his loan deal from South African giants Kaizer Chiefs lapsed.

Leopards coach Nikola Kavazovic trusted Rwandese goalkeeper Ndayishimiye in between the sticks with Robinson Kamura partnering Ghanaian Isaac Oduro at the heart of defence.

Isaac Kipyegon, acquired from Zoo Kericho, manned the left back position with Dennis Sikhayi operating on the right before paving way for another Kenya U23 international Yusuf Mainge in the second half.

Said Tsuma and Edward Seda operated in the midfield that also had Saad Musa while Eugene Mukangula and Owiti started on the flanks.

KCB, coached by Frank Ouna and Ezekiel Akwana, had Zamu Adisa in goal as Dennis Orenge and Nichodemus Onyango provided cover. Bolton Omwenga, another new signing from Kariobangi Sharks, occupied the left back position with Tanzanian Jamal Mwambeleko on the offensive left as Chris Onyango attacked from the right flank.
