A court in Eldoret has released the former 10km world record holder Agnes Jebet Tirop murder suspect Ibrahim Rotich on bail.
Justice Robert Wananda ruled that the suspect should released on a Ksh 400,000 with a similar surety or a cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
Tirop, who was murdered on October 13th 2021, Rotich was arrested two days later in Changamwe and has been in remand since.
In the first day of case hearing today, the Ngige Ngugi representing Rotich sought to be released on bail pending the hearing of the murder case after then presiding Judge, Justice Reuben Nyakundi had denied him a bond.
Rotich was released on condition that he should not interference with witnesses, avoiding visiting Iten town but remain in Uasin Gishu county.
