Dennis Ng’ang’a is the latest entry into the Harambee Stars team that has left the country ahead of their opening match against Gabon and Seychelles in the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifying campaign.
Head coach Engin Firat will lead the team that left today morning to the West African nation for the first match that will be played on Saturday.
Popularly called Pajoe, the Zenaco FC player had to be called in the last minute replacing Joseph Okumu and Brian Mandela.
Okumu sustained a knock in his last match for his club as new kid Benson Omalla made the final squad, alongside Haniff Wesonga and Nabi Kibunguchy.
Stars will face off with Gabon in the first of the qualifiers on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Stade de la Rénovation de Franceville.
The team will then depart to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Friday ahead of the second match of the qualifiers against Seychelles.
The match is slated for November 20, 2023, at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan.
Kenya has been drawn in Group F of the 2026 Fifa WC qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Burundi, and Seychelles.
