Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has suspended Vincent Kipsegech Yator for violating anti-doping rules.
Yator, who survived a horrific accident in February this year where he running and training mate Francis Kiplagat died as they were travelling from Nairobi to Eldoret, was suspended by International Association of Athletics Federation’s (IAAF) AIU.
The information was disclosed to Wednesday 2nd after he was tested positive to a banned substance.
The athlete who finished 4th at Gold Coast Marathon was tested positive for Testosterone, Prednisone and Prednisolone.
AIU announced on its official twitter handle @aiu_athletics “The AIU confirms a provisional suspension against Vincent Kipsegechi Yator of Kenya for the presence of a prohibited substance, a violation of the @iaaforg Anti-Doping Rules.”
