AIU suspends Komen, Korir, Karanga and Borura for failing doping test

Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has suspended Kenyans Purity Temutai Komen, Rebecca Jepchorchir Korir, James Karanga and Ester Borura for failing anti-doping rules.

Komen, the reigning Istanbul half marathon champion was flagged for two accounts, Presence of a Prohibited Substances (Norandrosterone) and evading sample Collections.

The 25 year old has been suspended pending investigations.

Korir on her part, was suspended for the presence of a Prohibited Substance (Methylprednisolone) and a notice of charge has been issued to her.

Karanja who has been suspended for the use of the Prohibited Substance (Norandrosterone) and a notice of allegation has been issued to him.

Borura has also been provisionally suspended for the use of the Prohibited Substance (Norandrosterone) and a notice of allegation has also been issued to her.
