Kenyan international rugby player Billy  ‘The Kid’ Odhiambo has announced his retirement from rugby.

The 30 year old Mwamba inside centre has played for Kenya Sevens Shujaa for the last 11 years, participating in 68 tournaments and scoring 111 tries.

On his X platform, Odhiambo wrote: “As I mark my 30th birthday I’d also like to announce my retirement from Rugby. I thank you all for your support over the 11 years of my career and excited to see what the future holds. Billy ‘The Kid’ Odhiambo out.”

Injera holds the second place for the number of tries scored in the World Rugby Sevens Series with 271 while Kayange and Ambaka boast 159 and 131 tries respectively.
