Anthony Akumu scored his maiden goal for Sagan Tosu against Japanese League two side Jubilo Iwata in the Levain Cup match played at the Yahama stadium.
The kenyan international helped his side come from a goal down to win 2-1 as former Mamelodi Sundowns player scoredthe opening goa.
Akumu scored in the 6th minute before Iwata’ Daiki Ogawa canceled the score for 1-1 in the 81st minute as Ryonsouke Kabayama sealed the 2-1 victory.
With the Victory, Tosu are expected to play Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in the next cup game scheduled for 19th April.
The goal was Akumu’s first for his new club after joining them on free transfer from South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.
