Am sorry, I won’t be at the Olympic Games- Mpoke tell his fans

World under 18 400m hurdle silver medalist Mpoke Moitalel, will miss the Olympic games set for this month in Tokyo, Japan despite making the team during the national trials held last month at the Kasarani stadium.

The hurdle went of his facebook page to apologize to his fans after failing to meet some World Athletics requirements where each athlete is supposed to be tested at least three out-of-competition tests within 10 months before the events, then the tests must be done three weeks apart within the 10 months period and three weeks to the championships.

Mpoke wrote on his facebook page @ Moitalel Moitalel Mpoke: “I am so sorry that I can’t compete at Tokyo Olympics 2021 even though I have been preparing well despite all the challenges I went through towards the event and meeting qualifying Olympic standards.”

“Nobody came because I was at my house preparing for my final examinations and didn’t receive any call at all,” said Mpoke. “I’m very disappointed but hopefully I will see you all next season,” said Mpoke.
