Former Kenya Premier league champions Ulinzi Stars Ulinzi Stars suffered their second consecutive defeat in today’s premier match played at the Nakuru Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Showground.
After losing to 1-4 to Tusker in their mid-week encounter at the same venue, today they were humiliated 3-1 by visiting Kakamega Homeboyz.
The win was a sweet revenge for Homeboyz side coached by Nicholas Muyoti who had lost 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
After first half barren draw, Shami Kibwana scored the opener for Homeboyz 1-0 lead before Allan Wanga doubled the lead as Kibwana scored his second and third for the Kakamega based club for 3-0 lead but Ulinzi’s John Njuguna pulled a consolation for a 3-1 final score.
In Mombasa, Bandari FC were held to a one-all draw by visiting Nairobi City Stars at the Mbaraki stadium.
City Stars took the lead through Erick Ombajo’s goal but Bandari equalized through import William Wadri, who easily converted the penalty.
In other matches, 2009 champions Sofapaka was held to one-all draw by returnees Vuhuga United while Wazito played to a 1-1 draw with Posta Rangers.
