Amos Kogadi scored the lone goal as Vihiga United beat against Thika United in the fight for relegation tie in today’s Kenya Premier League (KPL) match played at Thika Municipal stadium.
It was a great show for Vihiga, the new comers fighting relegation collecting maximum points, recording their seventh win of the season.
The loss was a blow to Thika who remained at the very base of the KPL table with a measly 20 points from 27 games.
The 66th minute goal was from a headed in a long free kick curved Steven Wakhanya.
The defeat marked Thika’s fourth loss in five games, and they have collected only four wins since the season began this March.
Mathare United played out to a barren draw against hosts Zoo Kericho.
