Heading into the penultimate round of National Super league (NSL), the second tier men’s football league, Administration Police of Bomet (APS Bomet) has been promoted to the Kenya Premier league next season.
Their dream of playing in the KPL came today after winning a case against Kibera Black Stars that ended prematurely in the 79th minute when chaos erupted after APS Bomet’s Philip Wasai scored an equalizer.
Today, they ruled in favour of Bomet and they were automatically promoted to KPL next season, joining league leaders Nairobi United who were also promoted last month and will be battling for the NSL title.
At the moment, Bomet have 64 points, leaving third-placed Fortune Sacco (57 points) mathematically unable to catch them with only two matches remaining.
A win for Nairobi United will earn them the title while Bomet, who are five points below, hope the Naibois to lose both matches and pick maximum points in their matches to lift the title.
In the penultimate round tomorrow, Bomet will face off with Mully Children Family (MCF) while Nairobi take on Michael Olunga Foundation (MOFA).
