Embattled athlete Asbel Kiprop met with newly appointed Inspector General of police Felix Mutyambai in his office today.
The former Olympic Games 1,500m champion met Mutyambai just a week after he was banned by IAAF for doping.
The three time 1,500m champion failed a out-of-competition test and his appeal was dismissed by the Athletes Integrity Unit and banned for four years that kicked off in May 2018.
The Police officer met his boss after taking to the social media, protesting his innocence, arguing he had his samples tampered with by his framers. He suggested he would use his official firearm to get his justice, whilst asking IAAF to “come for your medals, I don’t need them on my wall”
IG Mutyambai invited the runner, whose track exploits saw him rise to the position of Chief Inspector of Police, for a courtesy call.
