Olympic Games 1,500m champion Faith Chepngetitch, will spice up Athletics Kenya Sotik Cross country meeting in Bomet County this Saturday.
The former world junior cross country champion will be taking in 10km senior women category in the second meeting of Athletics Kenya cross country meeting in the South Rift region
At 23 years, Chepng’etich won the IAAF World 1,500m champion held in August in London has accumulated eight medals in her athletics career.
At the same time, former national champion Japhet Korir and Timothy Cheruiyot will be taking part in the 10km senior men race.
Reigning Africa Junior Cross Country champion Miriam Cherop will start her title defense by taking on her peers in the 6km race in Sotik with her main challenger being Immaculate Chepkirui.
Chepkirui won silver in 3000m U18 World Championships staged in Nairobi this year. The duo are tipped to go all the way to Algeria next year based on their current form.
Leonard Bett will lead his peers in the Junior Men category having gold from the U18 World Championships 2000m steeplechase last July.
