Hong Kong Cup of Nations: Chile triumph against Kenya Simba

Kenya Simba failed to roar on the opening match at the 2017 Hong Kong Cup of Nations, going down to Chile today (November 10th) at Kings Park Ground in the China’s City.

The rugby15s aside lost 23-03 to the Chile as Chile terrorized Kenya half, enjoying the possession and gained three points Thomas Iansweski through a penalty on 18 minutes.

But that terror did not last as Simbas survived another Chile attack following a dropped ball in the middle of the tight.

Darwin Mukidza leveled the score for the Simba’s through a penalty recovered the possession from a Simbas numerous handling error and they went down 3-6 again through Ianisweski penalty into the break.

On resumption, Ianisweski missed an opportunity to score a third penalty as his low and hard goal attempt was inaccurate.

Ianisweski converted his first try as Chile exerted pressure for Chile’s 13-3 lead.

George Nyambua spilled the ball deep in Chile territory, Chile unlucky not to score from the counter attack. Benjamin Soto went past the white wash for the second try that Ianisweski did not miss the conversion for a 20-3 lead.

Ianisweski added another penalty to see Chile go 23-3 with seven minutes to play before ending with a 23-03.
