Bandari focus on Sportpesa Super Cup title

Bandari fc will be looking for the Sportpesa Cup title as they make their ,maiden appearance at the championships set to begin on Tuesday in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania.

As the annual cup enters its 3rd edition, Bandari will be making their maiden appearance at the championships as they will be joined by Kariobangi Sharks, AFC Leopards and Bandari and Gor Mahia from Kenya while Simba and Yanga Singida United and Mbao fc in the eight team tournament.

The winning team will not only bank Sh3 million, but also get an opportunity to play English Premier League side Everton in a friendly later this year.

Even though Sharks and Bandari are considered underdogs owing to their limited successes on the pitch in their history, their recent impressive form suggests these two teams are capable of pulling a couple of shocks.

Bandari finished second in the SportPesa Premier League last season whilst Sharks went all the way to win the domestic FKF SportPesa Shield.

Sharks, Bandari and Leopards are already in Tanzania, with Kenyan champions Gor Mahia expected to fly in directly from Cameroon on Tuesday from their Caf Confederation Cup play-off retun leg match against New Stars de Douala

  1. Bandari v Singida
  2. Simba v AFC Leopards

Wednesday:

  • Gor Mahia v Mbao
  • Kariobangi Sharks v Yanga
