Former champions Gor Mahia, Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari started their premier league campaign winning their opening matches played today across the country.
Benson Omala bagged a brace as Gor defeated KCB 2-1 at Thika Stadium. Omala opened the score in the 7th minute and 9th minute for Mike Harisson boys before Henry Onyango halved the scored for KCB in the 27th minute.
At the same venue, Erick Mmata scored the only goal as Kariobangi Sharks defeated Posta Rangers by a solitary goal in the 16th minute.
Top of the table Bandari were 3-0 winners over Mathare United in a match played at the Mbaraki stadium in Mombasa.
New signing Whyvonne Isuza after bagging a brace Umaru Kasumba sealing the victor with his 59th minute score.
Newcomers FC Talanta played to a one-all draw against Wazito after coming from a goal down.
Wazito went ahead through Michael Otieno in the 18th minute but Talanta leveled through Brian Yakhama in the 88th minute.
Onther newbies Vihiga Bullets failed to shine at home after play9ng to a barren draw against Bidco United at Bukhungu Stadium.
