After finishing second in last season’s Kenya Premier league (KPL) Bandari has shown their good football and today they edged Tanzania champions Simba SC 2-1 in the first semifinal match played at National Stadium.
Former Gor Mahia forward Meddi Kagere scored first for Tanzania giants Simba but William Wadri converted a penalty to level in the 55th minute before Lugogo came off the bench to seal bandari’s win to wait for their opponent between compatriot Kariobangi Sharks and Mbao FC.
The Bernard Mwalala led Bandari edged out another Tanzanian side Singiga fc while Simba defeated former KPL champions AFC Leopards while Sharks defeated Yanga and Mbao beat KPL champions Gor Mahia.
