It was win and loss for Kenyan beach volleyball teams at the 2022 Commonwealth Games qualifiers at the Laboma Beach in Accra, Ghana.
Men team started on a low note, losing 2-1 (21-14, 14-21 and 15-11) to Gambia in the opening match. The pair of Ibrahim Oduori and James Mwaniki recovered to win the second match 2-0 (21-13 and 21-09) against Zambia as the Sammy Mulinge coached side will be facing off with South Africa in the last pool B match where top two qualify into the semifinals.
In women, the pair of Naomi Too and Veronica Adhiambo registered their two victories starting with a 2-1(17-21, 21-18 and 15-13) win against Rwanda before the beating South Africa in staright sets of 21-16 and 21-19.
