Champions Blazers and Butali Sugar registered mixed results in today’s Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) league at the Parklands.
Women champions Blazers went down 2-0 in the hands of Strathmore University side Scorpions. Gilly Okumu and Maureen Ogoche were on target for the scorpions.
The win has propelled Meshack Kisenge coached side to move on top of the table with 9 points from three matches with the losers coming second with four points just as United States International University (USIU).
Men champions Butali were held to a 2-all draw against Kenya Police, who came from 1-0 down to earn the draw at the same venue.
Festus Onyango and Tristin Karis scored for the champions for a 2-0 lead but Police recovered well to earn a draw with goals courtesy of a brace from Samuel Oungo.
