Beatrice Cheserk will be hoping to compete at the national trials when Athletics Kenya will be selecting the team for Africa Cross country championships in Lome, Togo.
According to her coach James Seurei, the athlete was ejected from the regional team last year ahead of national trials to select the national for World cross country in Aarhus, Denmark.
“I know she is in top form ready to compete in this weekend’s county meeting. She has been training well and I hope as a coach that she will do well ahead of the Africa championships,” said Seurei.
Cheserek will run for Uasin Gishu County on Saturday at Kipsinende Primary school ground before forming a team that will be competing at the Central Rift to be held in Baringo County a week later.
Central Rift is made up of three counties with Nandi hosting their meeting at Kapsabet Showground while Baringo will stage theirs at Poror Sports ground.
