Fresh from competeing at the World Athletics championships in Budapest, Hungary, Kenyan Joshua Belet led Kenyans to sweep the podium at the Amsterdam marathon held yesterday in the Netherlands.
Belet won the title in 2:04.18 followed by Cyprian Kotun (2:04.33) and Bethwel Chuma in 2:04.35 as the first Ethiopian Birhanu Legese came 4th in 2:04.43.
In women, it was all an Ethiopian dominance, winning top two positions with Meseret Belete emerging top at 2:18.19 followed by compatriot Meseret Abebayehu at 2:19.47 with Kenyan Dorcas Tuitoek Chepchirchir completing the podium at 2:20.00.
