Ten men Benin registered their maiden win against Morocco to storm into the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) quarterfinal.
Benin won the match 4-1 in post match penalties following a one all draw in regular and extra time to become the first team to progress.
The Benin Squirrels beat favourites, The Atlas Lions of Morocco after Moise Adilehu fired Benin in the lead at the 53rd minute before Youssef En-Neysri leveled for the Lions in the 75th.
The Squirrels ended the match with ten men following a 97th Khaled Adenon red card.
But Hakim Ziyech missed stoppage-time penalty proved extremely costly for title contenders Morocco as Benin enjoyed their finest moment in football.
