Making his debut in marathon, Kenya’s Bernard Biwott triumphed at the Frankfurt marathon held today in Germany.
In women, Ethiopian Hawi Faysa Gejia won the title in 2:17:25 ahead of Kenya’s Magdalene Masai (2:18.:58) and ethiopian Shuki Genemo Wote in third at 2:22:37.
With crowded Kenyans on the course, Biwott won the title in 2:05.54 ahead of Ethiopian Gossa Challa Ambellu with compatriot Lencho Tesfay Anbesa completing the podium at 2:07:35 and 2:08:02.
