Harambee Stars, the national men’s soccer team was beaten in their first match of the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifiers in the hands of South Sudan side Bright Stars today.
The Engin Firat Boys lost 0-2 in the opening leg ahead of their return leg next weekend in Nairobi.
It was a bad start for Kenya, which is set to co-host the 2025 event with East Africa partners Uganda and Tanzania.
Two goals from Ezibon Malish and Yohanna Paulino earned the host an upper hand ahead of return match this coming Sunday November 2nd and the winner of the two legged encounter will face off with either either Rwanda or Djibouti.
