Boniface Amabi has been elected as the AFC Leopards chairman during the elections held today at the Kasarani stadium.
The former Kenyan international garnered 1,101votes to be declared the chairman after edging out his main rival Enos Mutoka who managed 682 votes.
Ambani, who also played for Yanga as a striker will be taking over from Dan Shikanga, whose term came to an end in an election done by the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Isaac Mulindi was elected Secretary General after gaining 656 votes, beating Robert Situma and Irene Sitawa who managed 534 and 429 respectively and will take over from the late Gilbert Andugu who passed on earlier this year.
Ambani, who played for the team that last won the title in 1998, also featured for Tusker.
Newton Lime garnered 676 to take the treasurer’s post beating Patrick Kangangi 445 and
Edward Buhasho 599 for second and third respectively.
