Bungoma High school edged out Kakamega High school to lift the rugby 15s title at the concluded Western Region Secondary Schools Sports Association hosted at the Chavakali school today.
In a tense final, Bungoma staged a quality come back from 7-0 down to win 12-07 to book for national championships set for Kisumu next month.
Coming from Bungoma County, Bungoma High ended the unbeaten Kakamega County based school.
In the third-place playoff, Vihiga High School secured a 23-0 victory over county rivals Senende to claim a podium finish.
The win completed a dominant double over Senende, having also beaten them in the Vihiga County final
