It will be a busy year of Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) after releasing their calendar of events today.
The federation will see the return of all major events in the country after they were cancelled due to coronavirus.
Among those that will usher in the championships starting in April 6th to 9th at the youth and junior championships in Nairobi.
After that to[ players will be selected for the Global Cup the same month to May followed by IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship in Turkey between May 6 and 13 before the International Boxing Cup in June.
After International Boxing Day tournament on August 26, teams will converge in Kitale for open leg on September followed by Under-22 Africa Zone 3 Championships in Burundi in September then the Meru’s second leg between October 6 and 8, third leg in Nanyuki for the 3rd leg that will run between October 27 and 29, 4th leg in Mombasa between November 17 and 19.
Inter-county championships kicks off on December 3 starting from Kisumu has Siaya, Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, and hosts Kisumu.
The second one has KDF, Nakuru, and Laikipia while Police, Kwale, Mombasa, and Kilifi are lumped together in the pool that will battle in Mombasa.
Nairobi, Kiambu, Embu, Meru, Kajiado, Murangá and Nyandarua will lock horns in Nairobi. The calendar concludes with the 5th leg between December 5 and 12 in Kisumu.
