Reigning Commonwealth Games 5,000m champion Beatrice Chebet, Commonwealth Games 100m champions Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala, Eva Cherono ahd Selah Busienei dominated the World Athletics Continental Silver Tour held yesterday at the ISTAF, Berlin, Germany.
Chebet won the 5,000m title in 14:44.25 ahead of American Elly Henes (14:52.87) and Busienei (15:10.14) completing the podium as Cherono was 5th in 15:27.87.
The African 100m record holder, Omanyala finished second in the 100m race that was won by American Noah Lyles.
Lyles won the race in 9.95 ahead of Omanyala who clocked 10.11 for second place as Jeremiah Azu of Great Britain was third timing 10.16.
Reigning World Under-20 1,500m champion Reynold Cheruiyot won the 1,500m title in 3:35.04 followed by Britons George Mills (3:35.30) and Sam Parsons (3:36.22).
