Faith Kipyegon Chepngetich set up a sweet revenge against Netherlands Sifan Hassan to retain her Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games at the Olympic stadium.
The world 1,500m silver medalist won the 1,500m title she last won at the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
Chepngetich won the title with Kenyan record of 3:53.11 ahead of Great Britain’s Laura Muir and Hassan to become the second African woman to defend an Olympic title.
