World marathon record holder Ruth Chepng’etich, world marathon women only marathon record holder Peris Jepchirchir and Olympic marathon champion Sifan Hassan will be facing off at the London marathon set for April 27th.
Chepng’etich, who set the world mixed marathon record during the 2024 Chicago marathon at 2:09:56, breaking the Ethiopia’s Tigst Assefa record set at the Berlin marathon in 2023.
Jepchirchir, who broke world Women only marathon record during last year’s London marathon at 2:16:16 will be seeking to defend her title, the course so familiar to her running skills.
Sifan Hassan, the three-time Olympic gold medallist, will be seeking her title back after winning the 2023 edition in 2:18:33.
