Organizers of this year’s Nandi 4×4 Conservation Challenge have postponed the championships to curb the spread of coronavirus as directed by the government through the Ministry of Health.
The Nandi Challenge, which had introduced Motor cross and was scheduled to be held between April 10th to 13th in Tulon Farm, Nandi County has been postponed until further notice.
The Challenge, which was entering in its 3rd year had attracted 80 cars that were to roar as part of conserving environment.
The management led by Basil Maiyo on Monday sent a circular, informing all stakeholders and drivers that they due to coronavirus, the event has been cancelled.
The circular read: “The management of 4X4 Conservation Challenge wishes to inform sporting and environmental enthusiasts on the post postponement of the 3rd Edition of 4×4 and Motocross Conservation event earlier slated for April 10th to 13th 2020 in Tulon, Nandi County. We shall inform on new dates post corona.”
Following the directive by the government for Kenyans to stay at home to control the spread of the COVID-19, he also followed the same script. “Stay Home, Stay Safe.”
