Nandi Bears and Eldoret golf club captains will lead a crowded field of over 100 golfers will descend to Nandi Bears golf club for this weekend’s annual Mitchell Cotts golf tournament.
Home captain Kimeli Mutai is optimistic that with top golfers from the club will be on course to play on the hard course for better prizes available.
He said that the sponsor has been good for the club, sponsoring the event yearly.
“I want to appreciate the great support of Mitchell Cotts led by the Managing Director Daniel Tanui for his continues supported,” said Kimeli.
He added that the tournament has been a yearly one making it easier to organize.
“This tournament has been in this club for several years now. Nandi Bears Club is honoured for the partnership,” he added.
About the course, Mutai said the course is in great shape, the greens are firm and quite fast.
“With such field, we are ready to host over 100 golfers drawn from all over the region will participate. There will be lots of prizes up for grabs.”
Mutai will tee off at 11:30am alongside Eldoret’s Linda Kangogo, M Odur and S Sareto after home players V Kurgat, L Kipkoech, among others at 6:50am.
Eldoret captain Jackson Kiprono will lead a host of members from his club for the one-day tournament.
