Dadhley, Rajput wins in Mai Mahiu

Ranveer Dadhley and Yuvraj Rajput were at it again as the second round of the Menegai Lemon Karting Club Championship 2 came to a dramatic end at the TGRV racetrack in Mai Mahiu over the weekend.

Ranveer, the newest karter from the Dadhley family, started first on the grid following a fastest time in qualifying and beat Kaveer Bhogal and girl driver Kiana Rajput to a scintillating 50cc podium as Arav Chandaria settled for fourth.

‘After a great season-opener, I set off from the grid with one mission, to attack all the way, and it worked out well. My objective this season is to win the championship before the penultimate race and it will be interesting how it all goes, “said Dadhley. 

Kiana was all smiles: “I came third in the first and second race and I’m glad that my pace is getting better and better by event. I will try to improve on my pace in the next race and probably go for a better podium position,” said Kiana.

With round 1 winner Miles Imbayi skipping the second race, the 60cc Comer class also produced fantastic asphalt fireworks but it was Ramnik Bhatti who had the last laugh. He beat Ethan, and Soni siblings Tsevi and Tsorav to second, third and fourth respectively

In the Junior Rotax Class Sahir Bhandari lived up to his billing after eclipsing  

McKean siblings Rory and Josh to an exhilarating podium dash.

Autocross champion Yuvraj Rajput aka Yuvi was all smiles what with back to back success in 60cc Iame class. He beat Shane Chandaria to second position.

The series is being organized by Rift Valley Motor Sports Club and sponsored by Menengai Oil Refineries Limited through Menegai Lemon bar soap..

Simpson Osiemo, Head of Marketing Menengai Oil Refineries Limited congratulated all drivers for gracing a great race meeting at TGRV adding that they are proud to be associated with sport at the grassroots level.
