Daniel Nduva takes Uhuru Shield lead at Royal

Daniel Nduva fired one under par to take a four shot lead in the two rounds of Uhuru Shield Golf tournament, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships on par 72 Royal Nairobi Golf club.

The Nyali based golfer who plays in South Africa scored an impressive four under par 68 in the second round to add on three over par 75 in the first round to lead with one under par 143 ahead of today’s final round.

He leads Great Rift Valley Golf Resort’s Simon Njogu in second place on 147 with four shots heading into the final round.

Njogu started with three over par 75 in the morning round, shot level par 72 in the afternoon for 147 leaving home player Kevin Juma two shots behind in third place.

Playing on home ground, Juma led the first round shot three over par 75 in the second round for 149.

Another home golfer Joshua Ichangi was next on 150 after his back-to-back 75, with Limuru’s John Karichu coming fifth with 151. George Felix of Railway and Muthaiga’s Zubari Khan were tied at sixth on 152.
