Eldoret Falcon chasing maximum points in the congested fixture

Eldoret Falcons will be using three home matches to climb in top three positions in the Kenya Women Premier League (KPL) matches set for this weekend and on Wednesday with all matches being played at the University of Eldoret (UOE) pavilion.

The Eldoret based team will be hosting Baringo Starlets and Vihiga Queens on Saturday and Sunday respectively before hosting Makolanders on Wednesday.

Head coach Josphat Pilishi said they will have a tiresome fixture, playing three matches within four days.

“We will be playing all home matches and we have to take home advantage despite the fact that the fixture is so congested. We are training well for the fixtures hoping to collect maximum results,” said Pilishe.

He added that they want to take each game seriously to ensure they don’t lose at home to enable them move into top three position as the league heads into the home stretch.

“As we take to the field in these fixtures, we want to play quality football that will make us go top of the table. The girls are psychologically ready for the three events meaning we can’t afford to lose at home,” added the coach.

Winless Baringo Starlets were to host the fixture but for lack of playing ground, they requested to be hosted at the UOE. The visiting hosts will be working their way to revenge the 14-0 loss against The Falcons in the first leg.

The second fixture against Vihiga Queens, Eldoret Falcons will be working their revenge the 4-3 loss in the first leg fixture played at Mimias Complex while Makolanders lost 7-1 in the opening fixture.

“With all these fixtures, we have to ensure we don’t want to drop any point because we are chasing the title. If we manage to collect maximum points, they will guide us in our next fixtures since the league is almost coming to an end,” added Pilishi.
