Emerging Stars, the national soccer under 23 team will be renewing their rivalry with South Sudan to fight for bronze medal at the ongoing CACAFA under 23 tournament in Bahir, stadium, Ethiopia.
This was after the Stanley Okumbi led team lost to Burundi through in a 4-2 penalty shootouts at the semifinals played today to book for South Sudan at the play-offs.
Following a barren draw, in regulation time, the winner was decided in spot kicks and will be facing South Sudan again in the bronze medal fight.
South Sudan lost to Tanzania by a solitary goal in the other semi at the same venue.
Kenya had bagged maximum points in the pool, thumping minnows Djibouti 3-0 in their opening and a 2-0 win against South Sudan in the second match.
Burundi, on the other hand, beat Eritrea 3-0 in their first and beat hosts Ethiopia.
