In women’s 3000m steeplechase, Bahraini Winfred Yavi won the title in a meet record of 9:00.04 beating newly crowned Commonwealth Games champion Faith Cherotich in 9:01.90 as Bouzayani Marwa of Tunisia came third in 9:05.55 then Doris Lemngole came 4th at 9:07.09
