Ezekiel Otuoma’s burial date set

Following the sudden death of Ezekiel Otuoma, the family has announced the date for his burial.

The former AFC Leopards striker will be laid at his home in Ramula, Gem, Siaya County on January 11.

Otuoma, who c=succumbed to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) until his untimely demise on December 21 aged 31, according to family spokesman Dennis Mogendi.

He played at Ulinzi Stars, FC Talanta, Western Stima, AFC Leopards and Muhoroni Youth.

In his honour, a football tournament will be played on January 5 ahead of the requiem mass on January 9 at Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home.

Otuoma’s journey in football began when his speed and ball-handling abilities attracted the attention of scouts who predicted a stellar career in the top-tier league

After being diagnosed with MND in November 2020, he fought valiantly even as the disease gradually confined him to a wheelchair.
