Former world 800m silver medalist Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich won Kenya’s second bronze at the 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships inside Khalifa International Stadium on October first in Doha, Qatar.
As the only Kenyan finalists after Emmanuel Korir lost at the semifinals, Rotich scooped bronze timing 1:43.82 behind the winner, the American Donavan Brazier (1:42.34) which was the championships record and Amel Tuka for silver in 1:43.47.
It was sad for youngster Mary Moraa who will miss to compete at the 400m finals.
