Sports Dispute Tribunal (SDT) has nullified Football Kenya Federation (FKF) branch electiosn held last week across the country.

It was also a big blow for FKF’s presidential elections set for Saturday have also been nullified.

SDT today announced that all elections held on November 23rd are null and void.

While delivering the ruling, SDT chairman John Ohaga with his team of panellists Njeri Onyango and Maria Kimanzi ordered that the NEC be maintained as another election is organised as per the orders of the tribunal.

SDT found that the FKF Elections Board was not properly constituted as there was no public participation in the formulation of the FKF Electoral Code as envisaged in the Kenyan Constitution. The Elections Board is chaired by Eliud Wamukoya assisted by Elinah Shiveka.

The ruling gives room for presidential aspirants led by former FKF President Sam Nyamweya, Alex Ole Magelo, Moses Akaranga, Lodwick Aduda, Steve Mburu and Angeline Mwikali to re-organise after they had disputed elections and withdrawing from the whole process.
