Kenya will face Tanzania at the semifinals of the second edition Copa Africa Cup tournament as the host seek to defend the title won by St. Anthony’s Kitale played at Afraha stadium in Nakuru last year.
The Kenyan representatives Serani Boys from Coast region defeated Botswana with a solitary goal from Mohammed Mbaruki who successfully converted a penalty in the quarterfinals.
Serani, who had lost the first match 1-3 against Zimbabwe in pool A reenergized ion the second match to defeat Mozambique 3-0 to finish second to match into the best eight.
In another quarterfinal, Kenya’s opponents Tanzania defeated Uganda in a 6-2 goal marathon.
Zambia will battle with Zimbabwe in the second half. Zambia defeated Angola 8-1 as Zimbabwe stunned Namibia 3-1.
