Gathimba, Wanyonyi, Ndigiti, Ngii and Wachira land in Muscat for Race Walking championships

Five Kenyans led by two time Africa champion Samuel Gathimba, world under 20 champion Heristone Wanyonyi, Africa under 20 champion Samson Dominic Ndigiti, Africa Champion Emily Ngii and Simon Wachira have landed in Muscat, Oman for the World Athletics Race Walking Team Challenge Championships.

With the championships set for 4^th and 5^th, the Kenyans under the tutelage of George Kariuki will be hoping to register good results ahead of world championships and Commonwealth games.

African Games queen Emily Ngii said her speed was now good and hopes to hit the qualifying time for Oregon’s Women’s 20km walk race of 1:31:00.
